Whether you need a license for a wedding, a grant or to register as resident, the council is where you will need to go. The administrative offices are distributed throughout the various smaller towns that make up Velez-Malaga but the below listings should help you find out where to start.

La Oficina de Atencion al Ciudadano

This is usually your best bet and is more often than not the first point of contact with the council for both locals and visitors. This department deals with all municipal fees and taxes, issues with agriculture & the environment, general solicitations, social services and urban planning among many others. This is where to apply for a marriage license for a civil wedding and ask for permission to camp on local beaches.

Sede Electónica (Online Resource)

A new development for Velez, registration with this online tool allows you to pay taxes and make enquiries without having to physically go to the town hall itself. The town hall Facebook page also provides all the latest news and updates on administrative goings-on and their responses to questions posted here are generally very fast.
