Markets and Workshops
19th March 2022 – Make your own ajobacalao.
This course is 1h with Carmelina Doncel at 11.00 – 12.00 hrs or 12.30 – 13.30 hrs.
Ajobacalao dish was traditionally prepared to be consumed during Lent in Velez-Malaga. It uses salt cod, breadcrumbs, olive oil and paprika. It’s quite labour-intensive but worth the final outcome.

20th March 2022 – Spring Market in Scirocco, Puente don Manuel, Alcaucin from 11.00 – 17.00 hrs. Fun for all the family.
Trapiche Market – Every Tuesday from 9.30 – 13.30 hrs.
A fantastic market of new and hand-made items with outdoor stalls, indoor stalls and a coffee bar.
Los Jardines del Trapiche, Benamargosa Road km 0.5, by the little airport in Trapiche, near Velez-Malaga.

Sport & Fitness
6th March 2020 – VII Run/Walk for Equality at 10.30 hrs in Torrox, Plaza de la Constitucion.
It’s not just a sporting event, it’s time to show your supportive side (1 euro from each registration is donated to the social food network).

5th March 2022 – Vía ferrata with John Hogbin at 10.00-14.00 hrs.
This Via ferrata is being held in an incredible setting, Boquete de Zafarraya. This route is well equipped and highly visited. Its circuit consists of steps, zip lines, bridges, pendulums and even rappelling.
